Effective: [EFFECTIVE DATE]
Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how [LEGAL NAME / BUSINESS NAME] (“we,” “us,” or “Cyr”) handles data when you use Old School Bot, BSO 2.0, and related Discord applications (the “Bot”). Discord usernames and Discord user IDs are personal data because they can identify or be linked to an account. We use them only as described here.
1. Data we collect
We only read message content where you directly mention the Bot or reply to the Bot. We do not read or store the text of messages generally.
- Account identifiers: your Discord username and Discord user ID.
- Command and game data: command arguments; trip, bank, item, activity, trade, and game-history records; and statistics created from that data.
- Discord location data: server IDs and channel IDs needed to operate the Bot.
- Behavior and moderation records: player-linked behavior and moderation records where necessary to keep the community safe.
We do not collect IP addresses, cookies, telemetry, or message text. We do not intentionally collect other personally identifiable information.
2. How we use data
We use data to run the Bot, provide commands and gameplay, preserve the integrity of banks and items, troubleshoot problems, prevent abuse, maintain trade and moderation records, and create account-linked statistics you can view. Analytics are created from your game statistics and remain linked to your account.
3. Access, sharing, and processors
[LEGAL NAME / BUSINESS NAME] is the only person with routine access to Bot data. Moderators may access trade logs and moderation or player-linked behavior logs only to protect the community and enforce rules.
Data is not sold, rented, extracted, or shared outside the Discord server except: (a) with Netcup GmbH, our VPS provider, to host the Bot and its data; (b) in offsite backups used for game security and integrity; (c) when output through Discord at the request of you or an authorized moderator; or (d) where required by law. Service providers may process data only as needed to provide their service.
4. Retention and opt-out
We retain command and trip-log history indefinitely to troubleshoot issues, protect the integrity of banks and items, preserve trade records, and provide statistics. You may request reduced data processing, but this can degrade service because the Bot will not have the rich historical data needed to provide some on-demand statistics and features.
5. Deletion requests
You may request deletion by contacting Discord user .cyr or using the in-game /forgetme command when it becomes available. We offer two request types:
- Historical-data deletion: deletes your historical trips, statistics, activities, and similar historical records.
- Full account deletion: deletes your account-linked data, including your bank, activities, and other user data, as though you had never used the Bot.
For either request, we scrub you from trips created by other users where you are mentioned. Two narrow integrity exceptions remain: your Discord user ID may remain in commands another user issued that target you, and trade logs involving other users are retained indefinitely for game integrity. We may also retain the minimum information necessary to comply with law, resolve disputes, prevent fraud or abuse, and preserve backup integrity until those backups are overwritten.
6. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect Bot data. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure. If a security incident affects your data, we will provide notice when required by applicable law.
7. Your rights and contact
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or a copy of your data, and to complain to a privacy regulator. To exercise a right or ask a privacy question, contact Discord user .cyr or [CONTACT EMAIL]. We may need to verify that a request comes from the relevant Discord account.
8. International processing and changes
We operate under the laws of the United States. Data may be processed in the United States, at the Netcup GmbH hosting location selected for the Bot, and at locations where protected offsite backups are maintained. We will post updates to this Policy here and update the effective date when material changes are made.
